AWARD WAP A.S.E.A. - Giovanni Also informs us I1HYW that recently the ARI CR
Lazio and organized by the ARI Cassino the Award they threw WAP A.S.E.A.
(Antarctic Special Event Award) available for those who work at least 5 of the
43 special stations listed in the directory WAP and the instructions to request

IZ8BRI has Also announced that the special station that achieves the biggest
number in QSOs during the 3 AAW, will surrender special badges offered by the
DDXC and the responsible for the web of WAP.
 
ANTARCTIC
AWARDS - WAP-WADA (Worked Antarctic Directory Award) and WAP-WACA (Worked
Antarctic Callsigns Award) they are prizes that have been authorized officially
by the ARI (Italian Amateur Radiates Association) and occurred announce by the
manager of the Italian national prize I2MQP, in November 2004, and published in
the monthly magazine I Radiate Rivista,of ARI. More information has more than

Antarctic
Award
Applicants need to make ten (10) confirmed contacts with
amateur radio stations conducting valid operations from Antarctica.
The ten contacts must include stations licensed by at least six (6) different
government authorities, of which one (1) must be a VK0.
Antarctica is defined as the landmass, including islands and
permanent ice shelf, below 60 degrees south latitude.
(This excludes Heard, Macdonald and Macquarie Islands,
being sub-Antarctic).
Only contacts made on or after the 23rd February 1988.

Award
RABA is given for QSO/SWL with radiostations situated on the territory of the
xUSSR and Russian Antarctic Bases :

class: 3 QSO/1 Base
2
class: 7 QSO/2 Bases
1
class: 10 QSO/3 Bases
Honour
Roll: more than 10 QSO/3 Bases
There
is no date, band or mode restriction.
Only QSOs with Soviet/Russian Antarctic Bases count for the award.
Repeated QSO/SWL with the same callsign from the same base are not allowed.
Certificates
are issued in three different classes and Plaque - Honour Roll for confirmed
contacts.
The
application must be based on the received QSL cards photocopies of which must be
sent along with the application. You may also email scans of the QSL cards to
award manager. The manager reserves the right to request any specific cards to
satisfy any doubt whatsoever.
When applying for the Honour Roll Plaque, the original QSL cards have to be sent
along with an application.
The
fee for each class of award is 7 EURO or 10 IRC.

points - QSO/SWL with drift-ice polar radiostations,
(for example: 4K0E, R0PA)
