Georg
Von Neumayer, a German Antarctic research Station
The call sign DP1POL was personally issued to me while DPØGVN
is the current club call sign of Neumayer Base.
There was definitely be no further activity from old Georg von Neumayer
station, as it was discontinued in 1992.
DPØGVN was last activated from Neumayer base by DD1TG in December
2005.

The
new German research station called "Neumayer III" will
be built in the near future. Construction works will commence in the
summer season of 2007/08, and the first wintering team (including,
hopefully the first amateur radio activity from this new base) will spend
the winter of 2009 on "Neumayer III".
The location of the new base will be about five kilometers South of the
current Neumayer Station.

Algumas
O frio é naturalmente o maior obstáculo a ultrapassar.
